April 17 – Ode to Peas

Hello All. The prompt today, write a poem about an edible plant. After a 12 hour day I just had time for this little ditty.

the life span of peas

Tendrils reaching
Clinging climbing
Leaves unfolding
Late spring timing
Flowers blooming
Bees humming
Pods setting
Peas coming
Summer crisping
Ready brining
Plants vanishing
Rabbit dining
