NaPoWriMo day 15 – April 15, 2021

Hello All. Half way thru. Thank you for reading with me this far. The prompt for today was to think about a small habit that you picked up from one of your parents. I chose to use the Shadorma form (6 lines, 26 syllables) for this one, because I had not tried it yet. I enjoyed moving words around inside its structure.

 couch curling

 mom at home
 her nose in a book
 paperback
 tucked up feet
 curled into the couch corner
 mug on the table

 she went out
 drove us to lessons
 ran meetings
 went camping
but her time was reading time
 curled up on the couch

 my book love
 bedside table full
 done at night
 the couch curl
her pose now in my body
 writing this poem

About Meg

Meg travels a lot for work. But sometimes she has time to draw and copy and fold. Favorite drink - TAB, favorite food - Bread, favorite sound - skates on ice.

Curling up with a good book is a great trait to pass to the next generation. Lovely work.
